Sharing and international transfers

Access is limited to people and providers who need it for the purposes above. This may include:

  • Authorised Arcanus personnel and contractors.
  • Website hosting, email and secure business-system providers acting for us.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, regulators or authorities where reasonably required.
  • A successor organisation if the relevant business or assets are reorganised or transferred.

We do not sell personal information. If a provider processes information outside the UK, we will use an applicable legal transfer mechanism or other protection required by data-protection law.

05

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and correspondence information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, assess a potential relationship, administer early access, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

Retention depends on whether an enquiry progresses, whether a commercial relationship begins and whether a longer period is required for legal or accounting reasons. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

06

Cookies and website technology

The current static Arcanus marketing website does not set advertising, analytics or preference cookies. Its fonts, scripts and images are served as local website assets.

The hosting service may use strictly necessary security or infrastructure controls and may maintain ordinary server logs. If non-essential cookies, analytics or similar technologies are introduced later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before they are used.

07

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, and to object to certain uses.

Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object to the use of your information for direct marketing.

Rights are not always absolute. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
